Dr. Paul Grandon is a board-certified internal medicine doctor, specializing in the prevention and treatment of disease in adults. He completed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where he was awarded the outstanding intern designation for the LSU division. He next spent one year as chief resident of the internal medicine residency program, after which he moved to Delhi and has been practicing medicine in Delhi since 1987.
Due to the high prevalence of obesity related medical conditions in this region, Dr. Grandon felt that it was important for him to become more proficient in helping people live a healthier lifestyle, and spent over 1 year studying about obesity, its causes and treatment, and earned diplomate status from the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2015. He also has an interest in helping patients with unhealthy drug and alcohol use, and after 2 years of study and part time work at a local drug and alcohol treatment center, he earned board certification from the American Board of Addiction Medicine in January 2021.
Dr. Grandon strongly believes it is important to work with and educate patients about simple lifestyle modifications which will empower them to improve their own health without the use of long-term medications.
In his time off, Dr. Grandon enjoys spending time with his wife, Barbara and their children and grandchildren. He is also an avid fisherman and tennis player.
