The Future of Delhi Hospital

Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, following our groundbreaking on September 1, 2026.

The current estimated construction timeline is approximately 22–24 months. Based on that estimate, the new facility could be ready for move-in around mid-to-late 2028, depending on construction progress.

The new hospital and healthcare campus will allow Delhi Hospital to offer a range of new and expanded services:

These include:

• MRI services
• Expanded emergency services
• Helipad for emergency transport
• Outpatient surgery
• Expanded cardiac rehabilitation
• Expanded sleep services
• Outpatient therapy, including aquatic therapy
• Expanded specialty services

While our hospital has served us well for many decades, the facility is at the end of its useful life. Following an independent review, it was found that it would be technically unfeasible to renovate the existing hospital facilities to adapt to changes in healthcare services and provide expanded services to our patients. In order to preserve the care we provide now and ensure that we can continue to care for our community for many decades to come, we must replace our existing facilities.

Absolutely! Our current hospital and services will continue operating as normal while the new facility is being built (on the opposite side of Cincinnati St.)

You will notice some changes as construction gets underway, including changes to parking, entrances and patient flow.

We will work to keep those changes as simple as possible and keep our patients informed along the way.

Beginning this fall, the hospital main entrance will temporarily move to the Nevada Street side of the current hospital. 

A new parking area has been completed next to the temporary main entrance to make it easier for patients and visitors to access the hospital during construction. (The new parking area is located near Guaranty Bank’s drive through)

We will provide additional information and signage as the entrance change gets closer.

The new hospital and clinic facilities will be located immediately west and north of the existing hospital facilities. The current hospital facilities will remain open until the new facilities are completed, and will then be converted to parking, green space and water retention areas.

Construction will bring some changes to the hospital campus, including temporary changes to entrances, parking and traffic flow.

Delhi Hospital is working closely with our architect and construction team to reduce the impact of construction on patients, employees and our neighbors.

We will keep you informed as construction progresses and provide updates whenever changes affect access to our services.
