When you get emergency care or get treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital
or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing.
Standard Charges
We know health care costs, billing and insurance can be confusing, and we strive to address patient questions with clarity and compassion. We have created a list of standard hospital charges to allow patients to look up anticipated charges for health care services. While it is impossible to know ahead of time which services will be needed to address each patient’s specific medical needs, these tools provide an estimate of anticipated charges.

Yes. We are in network with all five Louisiana Medicaid Plans.

UCLA Health accepts many types of health insurance. These plans include:
- Government health insurance programs (Medicare and Louisiana Medicaid)
- Various Medicare Advantage, HMO, POS and PPO plans
We understand if you can’t pay the entire balance. To keep your account from becoming delinquent, speak with a customer service representative to arrange a reasonable payment plan. You may also apply for our Financial Assistance Program.
You can pay your bill conveniently online through our secure Patient Portal. You may also mail your payment directly or call to pay via phone.
The COVID-19 vaccine is free. If you have insurance, your insurance provider may be charged for the vaccine administration, but there will be no out-of-pocket cost for you. If you don’t have insurance, there is no cost.
