Dr. Muthulingam

Dr. Thanaseelan Muthulingam is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and proudly provides top-quality emergency care at the Delhi Hospital ER.

Dr. Muthulingham grew up in Canada & is originally from Sri Lanka, referred to as “the pearl of the Indian ocean” because of its shape and location. In order to pursue his interests in medicine, he started his journey towards being a doctor at the Medical University of the Americans in the Caribbean. Next, he went on to complete his Residency Program at Louisiana State University Health in Monroe, LA, where he discovered a specific interest in family medicine.

Dr. Muthulingam understands that COVID and any emergency in your family becomes your highest priority. It’s his priority too. He believes each patient is unique and your emergency is all that matters when you come to us for care. You can expect poised, focused care when you enter our doors. As a level IV trauma center, Delhi Hospital’s Emergency Department demonstrates the ability to provide advanced trauma life support (ATLS) prior to transfer of patients to a higher level trauma center. We are also able to evaluate, stabilize, and diagnose injured patients.

When Dr. Muthulingam isn’t working in the Emergency Department, he enjoys spending time with his family, studying history, and traveling. He specifically enjoys traveling to the Caribbean. Dr. Muthulingam shares his doctoral success next to his wife, who is also a family medicine physician. Together, they share the love of family with their two children.
