An emergency can be scary and becomes your top priority. The Emergency Department at Delhi Hospital is always open to make your emergency our top priority as well. We believe each patient is unique and your situation is all that matters when you come to us for care. We know how to calm and reassure you in the time of crisis.

Our doctors and nurses work together to efficiently asses your condition and determine the best course of action. A a level 4 trauma center, Delhi Hospital’s Emergency Department demonstrates the ability to provide advanced trauma life support (ATLS) prior to transferring the patient to a higher level trauma center. We are also able to evaluate, stabilize, and diagnose injured patients.

Knowing what to expect can ease your mind

When it comes to an emergency hospital visit, there should be no surprises with your treatment. We understand that an emergency situation is stressful and we want you to know what to expect when you visit our emergency department.

After you arrive and check in, a triage nurse will evaluate your situation to determine the urgency of your condition. At most of our locations, you’ll then be taken to a treatment room where an experienced provider will examine you and discuss your treatment options.

We see everyone as quickly as possible; however, we do treat the most critically-ill patients first. Our staff will do its best to speed the process and we’re always available to answer any questions you may have.

While it is our goal to keep you as comfortable as possible during your wait, we are unable to give pain medication to patients in the waiting area.

If you need to use a bathroom, please check in with our staff members as a urine sample may be needed. Also, please ask before eating or drinking anything to be sure that this is safe for your medical condition.

Not experiencing an emergency, but need to be seen by a healthcare provider?

We always want patients to proceed seeking healthcare on the side of caution. If you feel that your condition is emergent and life-threatening, please go to the nearest emergency room or dial 9-1-1.

If your condition is not emergent or life-threatening, we invite you to visit Delhi Rural Health Clinic, which is located on the same campus as Delhi Hospital. Delhi Rural Health Clinic provides well visits, immunizations, and sick visits for the entire family. They accept walk-ins and are open Monday-Saturday.

• Saturday: 8 AM – 2 PM
